When Aero Horizon 16 crashes in the Arctic, eight children emerge from the wreckage to find themselves alone and surrounded, not by ice, but by a mysterious and deadly jungle full of carnivorous plants and predatory birds--the other five hundred people from the plane are gone, not necessarily dead, but taken by something that lives in the jungle.
Seven of the eight survivors of the Aero Horizon crash have made it out of the deadly jungle, but the desert into which they have emerged has its own dangers, and they have very little food or water left and no sign of civilization anywhere-- meanwhile, one of the survivors is changing, and that may be the greatest threat of all.
After surviving an airplane crash in the Arctic, Molly, Yoshi and the rest of her friends meet a group of musicians who also crashed in the same area and have been camped out in the forest hoping for a rescue. They discover that there are more than just monsters in the rift.
