Description
Willis B. Newton was born February 8th 1840 in Hot Springs County Arkansas. He married Charlotte Hudson on April 9th 1857. They moved to Texas in 1860. On May 3rd 1865 they departed for California by Wagon Train. On January 1st 1866, they arrived at Downey (Called Los Nietos in 1866) California. In 1921, Willis wrote the manuscript "The Recollections of an Octogenerian". He died at Watts on December 21st 1824 in the care of his Grand-Daughter, Mrs Pitzer--Website information: www.willisnewton.com.
