Description
Nicholas Spencer, head of the medical research company Gen-Stone, involved in the development of an anticancer vaccine, suddenly disappears. With him disappear huge sums of money, apparently looted from the acounts of the company including the life savings of people who had risked every penny they had. "Carley" DeCarlo, columnist for the Wall Street Weekly, has been assigned to cover the developing story, even though Carley is the stepsister of Lynn Spencer, Nicholas Spencer's wife, whom she dislikes and distrusts.
